You’ll be able to take your certification with you anywhere in the world! ONLY at Maui Diving will you be receiving 2 PADI certifications when you sign up for your Open Water Certification course. You’ll also come away with the PROJECT AWARE Specialty Certification as well.
Enjoy the freedom of being a Certified SCUBA Diver! If you’ve always wanted to scuba dive this is where you start. Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and interested in what life lies under the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Your certification will travel with you to the ends of the earth or wherever your dive travels may take you.
Unique to Maui Diving and our mission to make better people AND better divers, we’ve decided to teach the PROJECT AWARE Specialty Certification as well bundled with every Open Water certification we issue. It’s no extra cost to you and you’ll come away aware of the 10 ways you can make a difference in the future of our oceans and the health of our planet. This specialty does count towards your 5 Specialties required for a Master Scuba Diver Certification.
- At least 10 years old, and in reasonable physical health. Note: 10-14 year old divers receive a Junior Open Water certification.
- Completed PADI Medical Waiver & General Liability Statements⊕ ONLINE!
- Ability to swim and float unassisted in the ocean
- Understand and speak English (for safety reasons)
Throughout the course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. Typically you will require 2 days of open water diving and classwork. You will be saving time on your vacation and completing your coursework in the comfort of your own home. You can sign up for e-Learning⊕. PADI e-Learning gives you the convenience of completing the coursework online, at your own pace, and not while you’re trying to make the most of your vacation days. Spend less time with your nose in a book and more time enjoying the sunny days and sparkling water on Maui by signing up for PADI e-Learning before your trip begins!
Maui Diving will provide you with all the scuba equipment you need to complete your Open Water course. There is no extra charge for the use of our rental equipment. We even include mask and fins with your rental equipment at no extra charge. If you decide that you’d like to purchase your own mask and fins after the class, we have a wide variety of options in our retail store. It is great to have your own mask and fins as you’ll want to travel with these items in the future to make sure all of your diving or snorkeling experiences are comfortable and fit you perfectly!
Prices are for 2 days of class. Days must be congruent and not separated.
Up to 8 divers per class……………..$239 (CURRENTLY NOT RUNNING DUE TO COVID-19 SIZE RESTRICTIONS)
Max 4-5 divers per class……………….$329 (required for students who are 10-11yrs old and can only dive with max 4 people)
Max 2 divers per class……………….$529

For all classes your certification card processing ($45.80), Log Book $24.70, and PADI E-Learning ($195) are extra.
